"Can You Just Grab a Quick Picture of the Siblings?"
It's probably the question I'm asked most often around school picture day.
And believe me, I understand.
Your kids are already dressed. Their hair is brushed. Everyone actually remembered to wear shoes that match. It feels like the perfect opportunity to squeeze in one more picture.
So why don't I do it?
Because I think sibling portraits deserve better than "one more picture."
School picture day has one job: creating beautiful individual portraits while keeping classrooms moving. Squeezing siblings into that schedule would mean rushing one of the most meaningful portraits many families will ever own.
I don't want to rush it.
I want time to watch your kids interact. To let the shy one warm up. To catch the big sister making the little brother laugh. To photograph the way they naturally lean into each other before they're old enough to think that's embarrassing.
Those moments don't happen in thirty seconds between classrooms.
They happen when we slow down.
That's why, this fall, I'm opening a limited number of Fine Art Children's Portrait Sessions to the public.
These sessions are designed for siblings, but they're also perfect if you've been meaning to update an individual portrait for your child, get ahead on holiday cards, or simply create one beautiful portrait of your child this year.
Here's the part where I need your help.
I've reserved studio time for these sessions, but whether they become a new fall tradition depends entirely on whether families decide this is something they value.
